This service gives your text the professional finish, catching author and typesetter errors before publication or bulk printing. I can also proofread website text.
----Proofreading is the checking of a of a document for:
• Correct spelling;
• Correct grammar;
• Correct punctuation;
• Typographical errors;
• Spacing and layout errors;
• Missing, repeated or inappropriate words;
• Correct page numbers and cross-references;
• Other inconsistencies.
----Errors are marked on the proof using a set of standard symbols, or on-screen using either Adobe Acrobat editing or Microsoft Word 'Track Changes'.
----Proofreading is not editing, and I will not rewrite sections, change words (unless they are incorrect) or the author's style of writing/punctuation. But I will draw your attention to any unclear or ambiguous sections.
